LESSION NUMBER FOUR

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT! ALONG WITH THE FEAR OF BEING CAUGHT DEAD SHOPPING IN CLEARENCE COMES THE FEAR OF BEING DIFFERENT FROM THE SHOPPERS WHO PAY REGULAR PRICE! WE OFTEN PAY WAY TO MUCH FOR CLOTHES JUST SO WE WONT HAVE TO BE RECOGNIZED AS CHEAP OR UNFASHIONABLE. HOWEVER, ITS OKAY TO BE CLEARENCE CHIC! I DO IT ALL THE TIME AND MY WODROBE IS FABOLOUS! MOST OF THE CLOTHES ON THE CLEARENCE RACK ARE THE MOST UNIQUE BELIEVE IT OR NOT. ILL POST SOME PICTURES OF MY WODROBE JUST TO PROVE THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH PAYING A LOWER PRICE FOR SOMETHING THAT LOOKS ALMOST TEN TIMES BETTER THAN THE OVERPRICED CLOTHES! THIS MAY BE THE FOURTH LESSION BUT ITS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT STEPS. IF YOU CANT DARE TO BE CLEARENCE YOU CANNOT!!! BE FASHIONALBLY FRUGAL!! :)

LESSION NUMBER THREE

WHEN BEING FRUGAL, YOU MUST LEARN TO BE AHEAD OF FASHION TRENDS AND NEVER ON TIME. WHEN NEW FASHION TRENDS ARE SET ON TIME THEY ARE ALSO SET TO BE VERY OVERPRICED, UNLESS YOU FOLLOW THESE TRENDS BEFORE THEY BECOME, WHAT I CALL, VOGUE KNOWN. LOTS OF WOMEN SHOP AND SEE ITEMS THEY LIKE BUT IGNORE THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVENT BEEN "VOGUE KNOWN" YET. LESSION NUMBER THREE ON HOW TO BE FRUGAL IS BUY IT WHILE ITS CUTE AND CASH FRIENDLY! THIS PREVENTS YOU FROM BREAKING YOUR BANK AND IT STILL KEEPS YOU IN STYLE BECAUSE MOST TRENDS STAY IN FOR MANY SEASONS. IN ADDITION TO THAT, WHAT YOU DONT WANT TO DO IS TRY TO BRING BACK SOME OF THE FADS FROM THE 80'S. ACCORDING TO "IN STYLE" MAGAZINE, NO ONE DOES THAT ANYMORE. NOW A DAYS ITS ALL ABOUT THE FUTURE AND WHAT WE CAN CREATE NOT WHAT WE CAN BASE OFF THE PAST. HOWEVER, THATS ONLY FOR CERTAIN TRENDS. OTHERS LIKE LEATHER GLOVES, TRENCH COATS, AND ANIMAL PRINTS W/ FLORALS, CAN BE EXAMPLE OF WHAT WAS HOT, AND FRUGALLY PRICED, IN THE PAST AND WHAT IS RECREATED, AND STILL FRUGALLY PRICED, IN THE PRESENT. HAVE FUN SHOPPERS AND REMEMBER YOU'RE NOT CHEAP YOU'RE FRUGAL!!!

Lession #2

KNOW WHERE TO SHOP AND WHERE TO DROP DEAD! PLACES SUCH AS BEBE, LOUIS VUITTON AND GUCCI ARE DEFINATELY A NONO! EVEN IF YOU'RE A FAMOUS WHATEVER AND YOURE ROLLING IN POOLS OF CASH YOU SHOULD STILL STAY AWAY FROM THE ACTUAL DESIGNER LABELS. THERE ARE PLENTY OF STORES SUCH AS TJ MAX MARSHALLS AND ROSS THAT SELL THE EXACT SAME LABELS BUT FOR A MUCH MORE REASONABLE AND FRUGAL PRICE. AND OF COURSE THERE ARE THE GOOD REAL LABELS LIKE FOREVER 21 AND H&M WHO HAVE THERE ALL DAY EVERYDAY SALES AND LET ME TELL YOU THE PRICES SAY FRUGAL FRUGAL FRUGAL!! I CAN TELL YOU AS A PERSONAL H&M FAN AND CONSTANT SHOPPPER I AM IN LOVE WITH THEIR CLOTHES AND I THINK THEY TAKE MY CHIC TO ANOTHER LEVEL BUT WHAT CATCHES MY EYE THE MOST IS THEIR SALE PRICES! FOR THOSE LIKE ME WHO CAN OR CANNOT ALWAYS AFFORD THOSE $25 SHIRTS, STORES LIKE THESE ARE OUR CALLING AND WHEN IT COMES TO LOOKING FABULOUS, THEY'RE THE PLACE TO BE. LIKE THE SAYING, OR MY SAYING GOES, DONT BE CHEAP, BE FABOLOUS AND FRUGAL!!!

LESSION NUMBER ONE!

GET WELL AQUAINTED WITH THE NUMBERS 3, 5, 7, AND 10! NO of course im not talking about sizes im talking about prices. these days many people, mainly women pay more than $25 for things such as shirts and skirts when really what they dont know is they're blowing enough for a pair of shoes on a shirt they're probably going to grow out of faster than a pair of shoes. when i first became frugal my lucky numbers were 3 5 7 and 10. that is the normal and reasonable price for a shirt, blouse, and skirt. sometimes if you get lucky you can even find a pair of cute jeans for 10. places like forever 21, h&m, and charlotte russe have prices like these all the time and their clothes are just as cotoure as oscar de la renta. so when your shopping be on the lookout because sales like these are EVERYWHERE!!

IM NOT CHEAP IM FRUGAL!

Lately ive noticed that my blog posts have been helpful to some but for others, fruugal shoppers such as myself, my fashion advice is only useful for those who want to pay the correct (overpriced) cost for fashion. Well from this day on i am now a frugal shopper and a frugal fashion advice giver/ blogger. I can tell you right now i am one of the best frugal shoppers ever known to man and i look great everytime i go out, however, i still have money in my pockets because i didnt blow it all on my new booties for the evening. My point is there are many ways to look just as good as the models in Elle magazine and still have enough money to actually buy the actual magazine. SO PREPARE TO FOLLOW ME ON WHAT I CALL THE CRASH COURSE TO BEING NOT CHEAP BUT FABULOUSLY FRUGAL!

PARIS FASHION WEEK WAS A HIT!!! The multi-city, month-long marathon that was the fall 2010 collections ended Wednesday with a fabulous ‘50s-inspired collection by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. The designer embraced women and all their bits and pieces by casting curvier supermodels to strut their stuff on his runway. Dries Van Noten also embraced ladylike shapes, in addition to some very chic menswear-style pieces (it’s easy to imagine wearing the tailored jackets and perfectly cut trousers at work, play, and everywhere in between). Of course, it wouldn’t be Paris Fashion Week without a little leather from Mr. Lagerfeld. His skin of choice for fall was of the patent variety (each model wore a black or brown legging paired with a coquettish headband). Ann Demeulemeester also offered a slew of fierce leather pieces with pops of feather peeking through. Sexed-up styles were also seen on the runway at Balmain where designer Christophe Decarnin showed the miniest of mini dresses, contrasted by floor-sweeping gowns that showed just the right amount of skin. Stella McCartney and Valentino designers Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri injected some much-needed femininity into the fall collections in the form of lace and chiffon dresses perfect for evening. And, cool girl favorite Isabel Marant gave her loyal followers what they want—cigarette-leg pants, boyfriend jackets, and the best little day-to-night dresses.
